After four emails, two voicemails, and a week and a half, the Washington Peace Corps guy finally got back to me. He told me by the time all the bureaucrats and banks get their grubby hands on my project funding, it’s going to be at least two and a half weeks until I get it. Since waiting two and a half weeks to start my project is unacceptable to me, I am going to investigate more immediate temporary funding options. More to come.

I don’t think that would help. Here is what the guy said:
“So your project is now fully funded in our system and we have submitted an Auth Memo for this project to Finance, it will take a few days for them to process the payment and send it out. It should go out the door around the end of the week. It will then go through State and be sent out by EFT. And so at this point it will take around a two and a half weeks for the funds to hit your account.”
I would rather utilize my own methods than wait around for that train wreck to get sorted out…
do your own methods include selling your body?

Maybe we should all contact the Peace Corps office responsible to make the “squeak” LOUDER!!! They were so quick to send out thank you letters for the donations, they should be faster in directing the funds to the project.
